Sir,
I have the honour to offer the following
comments on the Local Auditor's Report for the year 1910 which
is being despatched to you by this mail:-
Paragraph 1. This advance was repaid during the
current month.
Paragraph 17. The amount realized by the sale of the
"Hygeia" was in the first instance credited by the Harbour
Master to Miscellaneous Receipts but as soon as this fact came
to the notice of the Colonial Secretary he directed that it
should be credited to the original head of expense, namely,
Public Works Extraordinary. This method of accounting refunds
of expenditure, other than in respect of unserviceable
stores, is based on Colonial Regulation 343 which directs that
